Celebrating Women and the INSPIRE Awards began four years ago in September 2011, founded by Lee Ann O’Brien, with the mission to Empower Women through Resources, Education and Knowledge with a focus on issues affecting women and their families, the community, business, personal growth, professional development and leadership while enhancing their lives and those surrounding us.
With the focus embracing business, creativity, personal and professional development, the event as well as the INSPIRE awards are representative of those “women who have the power of insight and are leading their organizations toward innovation and who have followed their passion with enthusiasm and courage to do better things and achieve more!”
Celebrating Women began with a mission of to empower us through knowledge and education with a focus on issues affecting women, the community and their families, business, personal growth, professional development and leadership while enhancing our lives. We provide programs and a platform to energize each other, identify new concepts in both personal life and business and to provide opportunities to engage with others.
Our biggest commitment is providing women with the tools they need to be successful, in whatever path they take… Whether business, entrepreneurship, personal development, work-life balance, leadership, mentoring, collaboration…or maybe just life!
Who inspires you? Women often take a personal and introspective view when striving toward accomplishment-whatever the goal. We have assembled a group of highly-regarded business leaders to have a conversation among themselves and the audience—related to their experience, best practices and lessons learned! Topics include; Juggling multi-generations within the family [raising children, saving for college, saving for your own retirement, find resources for aging parents] Business to entrepreneurship- where does your path begin? Living life out loud- how to step to the other side and begin a new career or business How to toot your own horn without blowing it- state accomplishments without bragging How to come to the board room table …and be heard [not just seen].

Throughout my career, I have met so many incredible and influential women that are making a difference, but so often go unrecognized for their efforts and contributions, thus, the INSPIRE Awards were launched. We recognize that it is often the act of collaboration and inclusiveness that leads us to Where Our Paths Begin. It’s because of our connection with community, colleagues and partnerships which encourages us to create a network of relationships ensuring our access to new ideas and enabling influence. Through the establishment of these awards, we acknowledge some of Cleveland’s most deserving leaders and organizations with the INSPIRE Awards, recognizing women who have the power of insight and are leading their organizations toward Innovation ♦ Opportunities & Evolution ♦ Education ♦ Legal ♦Technology ♦Creativity. These women have followed their passion with enthusiasm and courage to do better things and achieve more!
